you need to know how options are priced, then all of that will make sense. Learn the Black and Scholes option pricing model, which you can learn of the internet by just googling it, but if you want a book, i posted one on the subject below.

Q&A: Stock Options Trading. Any book or web site recommendations?

I’m relatively new to options trading. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for books or web sites relating to options strategies.

Congrats on not being afraid to jump into the realm of options. There is much to know about it and the opportunity for reward is excellent, along with the opportunity for much risk as well. Being a wise investor will take care of that however.
To get started with options I found the biggest help was to obtain a copy of the series 7 exam cram book. This sounds a little over board but hear me out. If you’re not familiar with the series 7, this is the exam all stock brokers must pass. in the exam cram book is an entire section on options, explaining how they work, how to profit and limit your risk with them. This truly is an excellent book for anyone beginning any sort of investment endeavor, whether it be stocks, bonds, mutual funds or options.
Next, you will need a platform to do your trading on. If you haven’t chosen one already I higly suggest TD Ameritrade. They have teamed up with Think or Swim and the Think or Swim trading platform is phenomenal! Use the paper money trading account to practice your options ideas and strategies before you begin with real money. This will help you understand how options move in price and their volatility.
If you have any other questions feel free to send me an email as I would be glad to help out!
Good Luck!

This book is Mr. Bell’s third book on service-oriented architecture modeling, which is devised to guide business and IT practitioners to foster business agility and promote software elasticity.
“My goal was to devise and introduce a simple software modeling language that business and IT professionals can use to depict concepts, design, and architecture requirements for a project or a larger organizational initiative,” stated Michael Bell. This book offers repeatable patterns, templates for discovering and analyzing services for service-oriented development endeavors. It also covers a modeling notation that can be used to describe a virtual environment and cloud computing landscapes.
The “SOA Modeling Patterns” book targets software developers, business and technical analysts, business and technical architects, software modelers and designers, team leaders, and managers that are seeking guidance in the field of service discovery and analysis. This is an essential software life cycle discipline that is vital to any software development venture in the enterprise.
